The library was established in 1991 with the instructions of His Grace Bishop Marcos. His Holiness Pope Shenouda III visited and blessed it.

The library holds more than five thousand different books divided into three sections:-

 1. First Section: English books including many encyclopedias

 2. Second Section: Arabic Books

 3. Third Section: Children Section Library Activities

 The library receives readers both from Shoubra El Khiema Diocese or other places.

 The library receives readers from Pope Shenouda III institution of theology and church ministers.

 The library receives readers from Saint Maximous institution and Sunday school ministers; and children.

 The library is supplied annually with new books from the book fair, church’s libraries and public libraries.
